Colleen graduated from University of Southern California in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology, and minors in Psychology & Occupational Therapy. During her time at USC, she played all four years on the NCAA Championship-winning women's water polo team and was a two-time All-American. After graduating, she played for the USA Women's Water Polo National Team, followed by three seasons of professional water polo in Spain, Greece, and Australia. She continued her education in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at California State University, Long Beach. During her time in this program, Colleen was awarded the Excellence in Biomechanics scholarship and served as the APTA class representative. She enjoys working with the diverse patient population at Harbor Physical Therapy, and is especially interested in chronic and neurologic conditions, as well as rehabilitating patients with athletic injuries.
Growing up at Harbor Physical Therapy meant that PT was not a surprising career choice for Colleen. She "worked" in the clinic after school from a very young age, shadowing her dad, Mike, and assisting with clerical tasks. Before applying to physical therapy school, she worked there as a physical therapy aide for 2 years. Back to where her dream started, Colleen is grateful to be working alongside her dad and hero, but this time as a fellow physical therapist.
Colleen lives locally with her husband, Hogan, and 1 year old son, Jameson. She is a recurrent Los Angeles County Ocean Lifeguard, and enjoys spending her time at the beach. She spent many years teaching swim lessons, coaching water polo, and instructing Junior Lifeguards, all of which cultivated her passion for building relationships with her patients and helping them reach their goals.
